We are longtime sisters and brothers of the arts, and for years we spoke about the need for a space of our own—a space where healing, artistry, culture, and community could exist together without compromise.

Von and Kyrabea began a journey to make what once felt impossible, possible.

In 2018, the vision first took root through intimate gatherings honoring the rich history of the Black diaspora. Foot washings, Healing Sister Gang house visits, CYPHERS, storytelling circles, and community healing experiences slowly began shaping what would become The Rhythms.

At the time, the space was nothing more than trees, hard ground, and remnants of what existed before our feet touched the soil. But even then, we saw possibility. We saw restoration. We saw a place where people could return to themselves.

What started as gatherings has now evolved into a movement grounded in healing, artistry, vulnerability, and collective care.
